About a month ago I met with a young lady who had recently lost her Dad. No matter our age, losing a parent is devastating and this young woman is in her 20's. We had a nice visit in the home she had been raised in with her Dad. It was her responsibility to make the home ready to sell and find a way to share the remaining home décor and furniture that she could not take with her. As we chatted, it was apparent in her words and from all the remodeling in the home that she and her husband were working very hard. They worked very hard to bring her childhood home to like-new condition to honor her Dad and his memory.
She took me to the garage which was filled with items he had stored for many years. Once she had time to go through all the memories she needed to keep, she had most of the remainder brought to my shop. As some of you know, I like to play music that reflects the lives of the person or persons we host sales for. Her request was that we play 'Peaceful Easy Feeling' by The Eagles in his honor.
